Sometimes you get lucky and buy a beautiful historic home with loads of baked-in charm…and sometimes you buy a new build that gets to be your blank canvas. The latter was true for this family and their suburban Texas home.

The Design

We layered on the character with tons of natural textures (woods, furs, and metals) and few key moments of color. The result is a unique blend of cottage coziness and Zen minimalism that was perfectly suited to this young couple.
